ABOUT US
John Van den Bergh and partners including his wife Janet Joers, founded Van den Bergh & Associates, Inc. in Santa Ynez in 1989. John was born in Belgium and came to the United States in 1969 as a high school exchange student in Michigan. He liked it so much that he decided to stay. John graduated with a BA degree from Kalamazoo College and received his MBA from the University of Michigan. He is a Certified Cash Manager (CCM) and has run several successful corporations since 1975. He has built over 50 homes in the Valley including Cottonwood Glen Townhomes in Los Alamos. He is a member of the Los Alamos Valley Men’s Club and a director of the SantaYnez Valley Economic Forecast Project.

John is also the founder and current president of the Kerry Blue Terrier Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing information and rescue for this special breed of dogs. His wife Janet is a native of Indiana and a freelance writer and editor. She works extensively with the Kerry Blue Terrier Foundation. John and Janet are very fond of Los Alamos and plan to retire at Cottonwood Glen.
